Jesters are proud to forge strong partnerships

Jesters aim to bring local communities together by being a central hub for all families…

Our vision for Jesters’ integrated childcare for all 0-12 year old children is to ‘influence and enrich the wider childcare offer through proactive relationships with a diverse network of local partners.’

We aim to proactively engage not just with parents and local schools but also with professionals from family health, libraries, other educational facilities, leisure and local businesses.

Our early years settings and effective out of school wraparound services benefit not only the children and their parents, but help to bring our local communities together by being a central hub for all families.

Jesters acknowledges that parents are the first and most important educators of their children. We are committed to following the principles of equality and diversity. Our highly qualified staff team is keen to forge strong partnering relationships with parents. We strongly believe that working closely with families is critical to children’s well-being.

Thoughtful Choices
We’ve taken time and care planning our new environments so that learning and play work in harmony with your child’s development. Our settings are secure, pleasing spaces, thoughtfully resourced with natural play equipment.

Every piece of play equipment is purposeful and enables your child to develop their skills appropriate to their stages of learning.

The Jesters Team
Our well qualifed and highly competent team of childcare practitioners are given a thorough induction following safe and robust recruitment procedures.

We also work with a team of associates who offer excellent additional expertise through training and continual monitoring to help maintain our high levels of quality.

The Very Best Care for your Child
We are very proud that our staff keep up-to-date with current thinking and practice through regular training, information and mentoring sessions.

This ensures they are ‘second to none’ and can competently provide the very best care and education for your children. We are registered with Ofsted and adhere to the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

At Jesters, we recognise that strong and meaningful partnerships with local schools and other pre-schools for shared care (including the new Beaulieu Park first ‘all through’ school in Essex) are crucial for smooth transitions for children.

Strong Foundations
Jesters work tirelessly with local schools on school readiness projects for consistency in understanding and to empower parents. These links enable children to be grounded in their foundations; to be valued as individuals and have their development tailored to meet their needs, so they have the specifIc skills they need to thrive in school and reach their full potential in the longer term.

Jesters are keen to make links with local groups e.g. older peoples clubs, churches and toddler groups and to use and promote the library service as a forum for the community.

Learning Resources
Additionally, making links with local retailers helps children learn about food, conservation and recycling to help create a greener neighbourhood. We strive to create worthwhile opportunities for networking with community partners to work together on additional seasonal projects that benefit the local community.

Sharing our Facilities
Jesters ensure the premises is used to successfully share information and best practice with other Early Year’s settings by hosting high quality training and workshops; ‘TremendousTwos meetings’ and Learning Communities (run by Essex Early Years).

Additionally, neighbourhood groups will be invited to use the facility, e.g. childminder groups, nannies and grandparent groups; further helping to make links with the community and work in partnership. Jesters’ vision is also to create opportunities for students and apprentices to work within the setting, benefitting from learning best practice from Jesters’ staff and ethos.

Jesters’ work closely in partnership with our local children’s centres and the Essex family and wellbeing service (EFWS) for Early Intervention to offer our settings in Bicknacre, Danbury and Beaulieu Park as an outreach centre for parent/child groups; e.g. Sensory Play, Babies and Bumps and Rhyme Time.

Jesters is keen to invite the Health Visiting Team to run baby clinics for new parents and use the facility for integrated reviews to help isolated parents and invest in the Early Intervention Ethos.

Full 30 Hour Flexible Funding Offered
Jesters’ operate to meet the 30 hours FEEE free funding offer to help parents who need to work as well as using funding for two, three and four-year olds.

We promote and use EFWS leaflets to inform parents on topics such as weaning and potty-training and work with Essex Early Years speech and language team to deliver the Talk, Listen and Cuddle project. Parents will be invited to join a parents’ forum; working together on projects that benefit the nursery and the local community.

We work in collaboration with Essex Early Years Special Needs Team to effectively address specific needs for children and ensure our nursery promotes diversity and offers equality.
