Meet the Jesters Family at Bicknacre Nursery

Background
Hello! My name is Sophie and I’m an Early Years Practitioner here at the Bicknacre setting. I’m a bank staff member so I’ll be supporting where I’m needed throughout the setting. I have over 6 years experience working in Early Years from being a Nursery Practitioner to an Agency Worker caring for children aged 0-5 and have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education.

As bank staff, I have the opportunity to care for children of all ages throughout the nursery and support their learning and development. I’m incredibly passionate about working with children and I thrive to spread kindness and joy!

Outside work
I also do agency work back in my hometown in Oxfordshire. I was brought to Bicknacre by my boyfriend over 5 years ago and I love spending time here. When I’m ‘home’ I enjoy seeing musical theatre shows with my mum, it’s our favourite thing to do together!

Favourite children’s book
This is probably one of the hardest questions I’ve ever had to answer. My favourite children’s book has to be The Cat In The Hat by Dr Seuss. I grew up reading this book and now I’m the one reading it to the children. This story is just amazingly fun and super whacky which makes for a great story time!
