Meet the Jesters Family at Bicknacre Nursery

Background
My name is Lola, and I work as an Early Years Assistant at the Bicknacre setting in the Squirrels Room.

Before joining Jesters, I gained experience working in nurseries, which helped me develop a real passion for supporting young children during the early stages of their learning and development. Working with children has always been something I enjoy, as every day brings new moments of curiosity, creativity and growth.

Being part of the team at Jesters is very rewarding. I enjoy helping to create a safe, fun and nurturing environment where children feel confident to explore, play and develop new skills. I love seeing the children’s personalities grow and supporting them as they learn through play and everyday experiences.

Outside work
Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music, dancing and cooking. I love creative activities and spending time doing things that allow me to relax and express myself.

Favourite children’s book
One of my favourite books growing up was The Gold-Bug by Edgar Allan Poe. I have really fond memories of my mum reading it with me when I was younger, which made it feel very special. I loved the mystery and adventure in the story and how it made me curious about what would happen next. Those moments helped me develop a love for stories and imagination, which is something I enjoy sharing with children through reading and storytelling.
