Meet the Jesters Family at Bicknacre Out of School Clubs

Background

Hello, my name is Alma and as Alison’s (Jesters’ Managing Director) mum, I have been involved with supporting Jesters from day 1! Although retired for years, I am a qualified nurse and mid-wife. I set up and managed family centres in London Boroughs for social services for many years, so most of life I’ve been dedicated to working with and promoting children and family welfare and care.

The Jesters Family

I support all four settings as a volunteer, whether cooking with the children or in the gardens tending to the pots and plants.

Outside work

I love spending my days with the family, hubby John, grandchildren Lauren and Lucas and of course Saskia, my daughter’s dog. I also volunteer at Barnardo’s and am a regular and active member of my local WI group.
